Introduction

Lisa Parks grew up on the Space Coast of Florida where she spent much of her time on the beach, watching the space shuttles launch, and looking for frogs. She went “North” for college and received a BS in Zoology from Duke University. While there, she spent a semester at the Duke University Marine Lab in Beaufort, NC and continued her search for frogs. She received a PhD in Biology with a concentration in Cell Physiology and Biochemistry from Georgia State University. Lisa Parks is a teaching associate professor in the Department of Biological Sciences. She has been with NCSU since 1999.
